Major interests of the Conservation Genetics Lab include: (1) approaching ecology questions from the perspective of population genetics; (2) ecology and bark- stripping behavior of Formosan sambar; (3) population size estimation and relative abundance indices for wildlife; (4) development of an integrated platform for camera trap data. Also, the Lab cooperate with the Forestry Bureau in hunting regulation for aborigines and evaluation for the impact of hunting on wildlife.
