Apart
from providing wildlife rescue and shelter, our center proactively
builds up information exchange channels with related foreign organizations.
Each individual animal receives a comprehensive service. Services
provided by our center includes, sending animals back to their original
countries, releasing animals to the wild, community reconstruction,
raising, and breeding. We work actively to strengthen the practice
of animal protection.
In
the past,
our center has established connections with the wildlife conservation
and care centers in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia,
India, Pakistan, Singapore, Hong Kong,
the U.S., France, and the U.K.

Other
countries face similar problems in animal rescue as we do. As a
result, we want to improve our international
communication techniques and foster management exchange. A coherent
management system to facilitate the raising of special species (such
as orangutans and gibbons) will be established to ensure proper
care of these endangered species.
In December 1997, our center
invited several supervisors from the animal care centers in Indonesia,
Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, India,
Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Hong
Kong and the U.S. and convened a forum of "Protective
Wildlife Care and Management for South and East Asian Nations."
All participants agreed to set up a regional organization for information
exchange and communication. The name given to the organization was
the "Wild Animal Rescue Network" (W.A.R.N.).
Other nations are welcome to take part.
Our center is currently in charge of the overall
planning and coordination of W.A.R.N.
